Introduction

Last year Shawn reviewed the Silverstone Fortress FT03, a micro-ATX case with a unique layout, rotating the motherboard 90 with all of the cable connections at the top, similar to their Raven series chassis. The Fortress garnered an innovations award at CES 2011 for it's vertical cooling design and other features. At CES 2012, Silverstone followed this up with an even smaller mini-ITX Fortress, and another micro-ATX case, the Precision PS07. It's this last model that we have for review today.

The Precision PS07 offers a more traditional layout than the Fortress series, although access to the interior is via the right side of the case, a-la BTX style format. Silverstone touts dual hidden 120mm silent fan intakes, along with an independent airflow channel for the power supply, all with easily removable filters. With a wide stance to accommodate extra room for cabling, the PS07 maintains a small footprint while allowing use of a full-size power supply and video card, not to mention up to six hard drives. It's available in two color choices, black or white.
